In such matters as the origin of the world and of mankind in general, the totem pole speaks the story of this history in symbolism. Western Red Cedar forests of Northern California’s Humbolt County remain as mere ghosts of the glory they once held rising high above the coastal fog and into the clear blue skies. These forests, now healing, are a precious resource to save for our future generations so that the story of the origin of the world and of mankind in general can continue to be told.
